Specification Lines

The Specification Lines module in the Nettware platform is designed to help users efficiently manage and assign detailed specifications to inventory items. This feature is especially useful for products and asset types, but it can also be applied to services when technical or descriptive detail is required.

What are Specification Lines?

  • Specification Lines represent individual attributes or characteristics of an inventory item (e.g., voltage, material, capacity, compliance rating).

  • These lines are grouped under predefined Specification Groups for better organization and reuse.

Key Features

  • View and manage all existing Specification Groups in one place

  • Quickly populate specification details for one or multiple inventory items

  • Apply consistent technical and descriptive specs across similar items

  • Easily update or extend specification sets as your product or service range evolves

Use Cases & Application

  • Products – To describe key features, measurements, materials, or certifications

  • Asset Types – To document technical specs, usage guidelines, or maintenance details

  • Services – To outline delivery scope, methods, compliance requirements, or service-level agreements
